Lost in time,
weaved with memories,
It was but an old house,
Set in a lost era,
No cries within or without,
Even the birds kept mum,
Sealed in silence of unspeakables,
Like that time when a shrill scream,
Resonated in the hallways,
Blending with the deafening silence,
Of the dead of the night,
Such a magnificent place,
Has grown decrepit,
Once home to the nobles and known,
Ringing with shouts of triumphs,
Home to the nob and opulent,
Now a shell of its former glory,
And as with all things transient,
It's luminous beauty faded out.
