Been at it for weeks
But when I try to think of all I wanna say
The page suddenly shrinks in size
My laptop wouldn't be enough
Perhaps a mainframe would do
But I doubt they make those anymore

Mom, yours is a story I can only think of, it is a story only my heart can carry
For how can I ever be grateful enough?
How can I recount the countless nights you lost sleep watching over me
can I ever recount the innumerable prayers you said for me?
Mom yours is a story I have no book for, it is a story I can only hope you can read through my eyes
For my eyes are the only portals to my soul
For it is in my soul that your story is embedded.
So Mom, believe me when I say I can't write no poem for you.
A poem can never be enough
i can say just one thing though.
I don't believe in superheroes Mom,
but I believe in you.
