a walk
Walking on these streets
charming and so busy
I can't help but wonder
Will it become easy
Being on my own?one day

Certainly it will.
But for now, silly as I am,
Find myself running down the stairs,
Still,
Whenever I can see them,

Like we used to. I turn myself around
Hoping every time I'd see you grin
Kiss me, and when your breath is found,
Say, you always knew I'd let you win.

Oh, I'd let you win in every game,
Wishing just to see again your happy smile
Even when I don't chose, it's all the same
For my heart's been conquered for a while.

You did it just as easily as you could speak,
Or dance with me under the Paris sky.
You did it with that blush upon your cheeks
When I got on the bus and said goodbye.

You did it even more with all your stories
Amusing, touching and nostalgic at a time.
Sharing your fails and all your glories
Knowing with me forever they'll be fine.

You opened up your soul and let me in
Neither of us expected it this way
Neither of us knew what they would bring
These weeks together, till the very last day.

It fell upon us just like the winter's rain
Cowardly stealing every glimpse of hope
Leaving behind more tears, this aching pain
And unfamiliar emptiness to hold.

So now while I'm walking on these streets
I keep turning it over in my head to see
Could it be something that you also miss
Or is it how you always wanted it to be?
