Will there be a time?
Will there ever be a time?
A time of absolute clarity,
Where we don't have to climb
This ladder of constant prosperity.
Where people around us notice our worth,
Genuinely hand us a carnation,
Celebrate our existence on Earth,
& the tussle comes to a cessation.
When the plant of expectation dies,
And the seed a contentment grows
When the guilt of a mistake projects in their eyes,
And just for us, they chant a prayer's prose.
Will there ever be a moment?
When we'll be released from the sorrows and pain.
When the line of attainment is drawn,
And we're somewhere free from all the chains
That moment will be none other than
When we are forever gone.
