The reason for wayward Love
Is the realm of bondage
Gasping for air, gasping for freedom
Of what Body or Soul?

The sentiments of a lonely man
Tossed by desire, bound by devotion
Is too wrong for the worst
To be a part of reunion
And intuition too strong for rejection

Marriage and Love ❤️ two contemporary
If worked alright if not exemplary
The disturbed thoughts
Fruitless flight of fantasy

You're coming and going out of my mind
One of which says be detached
The other says be attached
Why? Between conflict and soul and mind
Why between us this soul and mind

You are the one I wanted
Or I am the one you wanted?
Why this conflict between us,
The tear wear of our relationship

Are you responsible?
Or I am responsible?
Let both of us think
In this magnificent world

There is a lot to believe
Lot to hate
The waste of energy between us
Too hard to fathom too deep to let go

Note,

like all couples who have sustained marriage for more than 3 decades, I wrote this when we were at the nadir of our life.

Cheating suspect etc. never in our mind right from the marriage.
This was the most painful part of our life, and by her love and by god's grace we managed to get a semblance of our life.

I am eternally grateful to her, yes my own contribution stabilized our life at that point of time.

This poem is one written when I was saddest in life and she struggling at the death of her mother and both of us having 2 beautiful daughters who were very young this emotional struggle between me and Lalitha is still etched in my heart and memories

Truly gifted ❤️ blessed by almighty to have her even today.
