Perfect Peace
Gone are the days of bitterness,
anger, hatred and hopelessness.
When I chose to battle differently,
Overcoming challenges inaudibly.
While you celebrated arrogantly,
I painfully accepted defeat meekly.
In troublesome waters submerged,
Prayerfully now I have emerged.
The sounds and signs of victory,
Like honey taste so sweet,
As I watch you roam miserably,
In defeat feeling incomplete.
Temptation calls to celebrate,
Yet deep within me I debate.
'Coz I chose to battle differently,
Peace is now my trophy.
