If I must feel
Let me dance in the tundra,
Let me dip my soles
In the cascading lava.
If I must feel
I want to burn
For the inkling of a feeling
Will leave me to yearn.
If I must hear the war
Deliver me to its centre
For if I allow myself to know more
I will feel the terrors of humanity
Tearing me apart at their core.
