I lived it
When the bright sun wakes you up,
And reality hits you like a truck,
When the smell of sweat makes you sad,
Like all the bad things you ever had,

I've lived it.

When the bloody Saturday never seemed to end,
And when the boss's angry words wouldn't bend,
When you spend hours on a crowded bus,
Pushed and pulled like a toy, without a fuss.

I've lived it.

When standing in line for what seems like an age,
You move up inch by inch, like turning a page,
And finally, you reach the front of the queue,
But just then the teller leaves, it's time for their lunch, too

I've lived it.

When you meet someone with eyes so bright,
And their smile steals your breath in delight,
You can't help but wonder and feel amazed,
As you question if you deserve to be praised.

I've lived it.

When the time comes to say farewell,
Your eyes mist up, words hard to tell
You try to be strong and muster the words like a song
"Be happy, Be proud, I'll always be around"

ohh, I've lived it
