Untold Confessions
We have been bypassing each
other a long the streets
of your home town,
I have been hearing about
you from your aunties,
And I have been yearning
to take the road to your heart.
I have learnt that you like roses,
I have learnt that sea pirates have
been giving you sleepless nights,
And I have learnt that mediocres
have visited you a million times.
Am currently on my way
to your home town,
the sunshine is mercilessly
hitting my forehead and my horse
is staggering in the sand dunes.
Today in the afternoon
I will finally come,
I will finally come to unearth
my confessions,
I will come to give you the best roses,
I will come to fight those sea pirates
on your behalf,
And I will come to help you chase
away mediocres from your heart.
