I said to my young self,
give respect to people who have earned it
Don’t be quick to give in to pleas for help
Guard yourself from being vulnerable to naysayers
People are quick to judge, resist the urge to pay attention.

Now I am older and then I realize
People will always be people
The good, the bad and the ugly
will always be in the company of friends.
Even the savior of the world wasn’t loved by all.

Do good at all times, It pays off.
Choose peace and pursue it with all men.
Bear the burden of your friends
Cry with them, laugh with them.
Be the bonafide expression of what you want to receive

Treat everyone equally
In that way, they have a good report about you
Not everyone will speak well of your goodwill
There will always be dissenting voices
But it can never drown the accolades of the lives transformed.
