Life in the Hands of Fire
A boy all alone,
no mouth and no eyes,
unable to speak;
and unable to see,
with nowhere to go,
as the flames start to rise,
with no emotion shown,
his home;
burns and burns to the ground,
without ever hearing a single sound,
a faulty outlet,
or a mischievous house pet;
that is now dead,
no point of orgin,
no sign of cords snipped,
here the boy on the floor sits;
without the knowledge
that his parents and brothers had fallen ,
one last vomit ;
before the flames harvest upon us.
