My eyes are heavy
From stress and tears
My bright smile hiding my fears
Trying hard to lock away all the pain
It feels so strange
The high pitched tone of my voice
Amidst all the chatter and noise
The false sound of my laughter
When clearly I remember
How I soaked my pillows the night before
And wished to be no more
How I sliced open my wrist
And gladly watched me bleed
How I welcomed the pain with glee
