Sniffing, scratching, let me at,
One day soon, i’ll get that cat.
She sits and taunts me, day by day,
One day now i’ll have my way.
Digging, snuffling, hey what’s this?
A juicy bone I thought i’d missed.
Stretching, yawning, time for nap,
And dreams of catching, that darn cat!
Dreams abound of chasing, catching,
In sleepy mind a plot i’m hatching.
What’s that sound? Sounds like a purr,
Feel something soft against my fur.
Eyes wide open, can’t believe.
A stranger thing I can’t conceive.
What I see plain strikes me mute,
Up this close....she’s so damn cute!!!
