And I do genuinely hope you are happy
because I'm not
So I hope you are happy for the both of us

A while ago, I got lost and couldn't find my way
And I wondered if you were here, if you would have helped me find my way home
If you would have given me a word of advice to guide my path
Or perhaps imposed a personal desire on me and made me dislike you a bit

The other day, I thought about you and I missed you
I wondered if you were here, if we would have gotten really close by now
If I would have still moved or if I would have had to stay with you
Perhaps we would have had all those conversations I was looking forward to having with you

I guess I'll never know
