When Eternity is Over
When the sands of my time run out,
And eternity beckons without a doubt,
I'll find solace, peace in my soul,
No longer playing life's taxing role.
This charade, this grand facade,
Of racing and bustling, a futile nod,
Life's meaning, a mystery unfurled,
Lost on me since I was a young world.
I've always been one to question,
Seeking truth, in every direction,
For those I leave behind, a bittersweet tale,
Knowing with time, memories might pale.
I never aimed to cause you pain,
In my heart, your love will remain,
For you, I held on, through thick and thin,
In your presence, finding peace within.
As I step into eternity's embrace,
Know, in your love, I found grace,
A fragment of eternity, a moment's sense,
In your presence, life's grand pretense.
