Enduring - Owed to Never Giving Up
When they think it's over, when they think it's done.
Let them know your race has only just begun.
When weakness claims others before the finish, before the end.
Let them see that it is then that you have only started the run.
In time of sadness, in time of grief, when sorrow steals your tears like a
thief, it is then that you must show that you have strength beyond
belief.
When your body aches, when your body writhes in pain, when you feel
you no longer have what it takes, it is now that you must show the Doubting
Thomas's that you have more than what it takes.
When others pass you by, and you feel as if you could cry, as if you would die,
it is then that you must deny the lie that it is over.
It is then that you must suck it up and give it your grandest, greatest try.
Soaring heavenward as you fly, refusing to accept defeat, refusing to lay down,
refusing to die.
When the game is in the final quarter, before the the final buzzer sounds, it is
now that you must give your most Jordanest try and let the ball fly.
When your morning paper comes, how shall it read? That you did not even try,
submitting to defeat? Or shall it proclaim when all was against you, when your back
was against the wall, you refused to give in, you did not accept defeat, you refused
to surrender.
You never gave up, you never gave in. No matter the barriers you had to scale, you
endured until your race was done.
