They have a mind of their own
Not caring whether you want to harbour them or not
They show up suddenly
like the uninvited guests they are
Changing your mood and outward composure

Each one comes with its own tricks
One makes your knees wobble and makes you speechless
The other makes you feel like floating in air
Another pumps blood into your ears and makes you see red
Others twist your gut and make your palms sweat

Sometimes they trick you into thinking you have full control
Then they come bursting out with full force
like mighty waves
And they make you their slave

How cunning they are
Those tricky tricksters
Sneaky little misters
But as irregular as they are, we have to admit
we can't do without some of them

The feeling that everything is fine
The feeling that you're on cloud nine
The feeling that assures you that everything isn't over yet
The feeling that makes your chest puff out
That makes you laugh out loud
or feel like you belong

Peace, Bliss, Hope, Joy, Excitement, Love
All these and more help to balance out the naughty others
Making us completely human
So you see, we can't complain after all.
