When I offered you lemon cake
you refused, said you just had one
It was good, but the last bite you didn’t take
as you are full and are not ready for none.

You’re trying to focus on your diet,
but you’re tempted for a slice
You like the smell while keep denyin’ it
It’s a good cake, I won’t offer twice

We tried a lemon cake from Spain
Best one I’ve ever had
Also cups of coffee that left a few stains,
they were pretty and didn’t seem that bad

Then you offered me your lemon cake.
Made it yourself ! "It’s not perfect though"
It smelled so good, looks almost fake,
and taste like warm hug under winter snow.

I offered my cake but again you refused
"It looks too good for me, I don’t deserve it"
It was your tears that left me confused
You don’t want MINE, JUST ADMIT IT

Since you stopped offering me another slice
Everyday, every hour, every minute I kept on baking
Wrapping it up and putting it aside
Not a single slice was given as my heart kept aching
