Holding the greatest significance,
Having taught me the true meaning of coexistence.
Walking alongside me the whole way,
Never to keep me waiting, never once was there a delay.

In anger you move fast, keeping pace,
When I'm calm you are calm too so full of grace.
When I'm running you are as quick as lightening,
Causing me to slow down at times bringing on tightening.
When I'm sad and feeling low,
You as well have an unsteady flow.

My most loyal companion,
You, I can never abandon.
When all leave me and go ahead,
You shall remain, I know, though you have never said.

I feel complete knowing you are there,
Fully assured, not a trace of despair.
I never need to walk alone,
For I have the best friend I have ever known.
But the biggest part of me you do control,
When you decide to stop, my body is left behind by a departed soul.
