Decembers
Sitting on an isolated bench at midnight,
the smoke from my cigarette now falls
frozen like fresh snow...
Yellow newspapers dance
under the dim street light,
trying to enact their past glories,
but no one cares about the past anymore...
Even foggy nights were magical
with you by my side,
To fit you inside my unbottoned jacket
and shield you from the travelling winds.
Well, that's what I loved
about Decembers.
That's what you said you loved too.
Another puff...
This time it snows for real.
It's midnight, and I walk alone
on the pavement of despair.
Buttoned up completely,
from head to toe,
I shiver for your love
this december snow.
