Gone are the days where we trust one another

Days where sacrifices were made for one another

Days where utterances of forgiveness were easily made

And the quest for revenge was minimal

Kindness was in abundance like the air we breath

and justice flowed seamlessly

And just when the world couldn't be much better, things changed on the spur of the moment.

Time changed from sweet to sour

Poverty ravages and fear inflicted on people

We now live in a time where the liar is praised and the truthful condemned

Transparency vanished like a melted snow

And deceit, evil and immorality have come to stay

Immorality has become publicised and morality concealed

Then I ask
When the light be returned and darkness be consumed by it

When the ugly ones will die and the beautiful ones be born

When the liars be casted like the old times and the truthful ones praised again

Cos, the darkness we now live in, is like a pandemic

Consuming every being taking precautions or not

Consuming every soul wicked or innocent

And I ask
Will I be saved?
