"The One"

Clear as crystal!
seemed to be the perfect expression,
Roses with no thorns,
a perfect description,
A world with no troubles,
What a perfect imagination?!
Full of nothing but content,
with the faithful friends I possessed;
pain, hate, shame and depression.
They were better than "the one"
They never left me no matter what,
Never opposed my decisions,
Never asked me to change myself,
And always stood by me.
"The one" then came,
painted my sad health with a rainbow,
showed me a ray of hope,
drove my faithful friends away,
And I enjoyed it.
Made me feel wanted than rejected,
Transformed my world,
it was perfect,
just perfect!
My eyes could finally see good,
it saw even more good in "the one"
"the one" who brought love in place of hate,
fame in place of shame,
delight in place of depression.
"the one" who gave me all these,
is "the one" who took it all away from me.
I was finally shown the price tag for all I had supposedly purchased,
"nothing comes free!"
"everything has a price!"
"you actually thought you deserved this?!"
lucky me though, my old friends came back.
