She was the best girlfriend I had
Yet it still didn't work out
And that's the saddest thing of all
It was the greatest fall
Brave faces, fake smiles
Hide the pain well
She can't tell
She doesn't know I fell
Trying to fill the emptiness
Trying to bury the bleakness
When with my friends
My pain suspends
I know it takes time to heal
But I must make this appeal
Will somebody please
Make this pain ease
