Dear dad
You reached for my hand one day,
I moved, and quickly said to you,
Dad's don't hold their daughters hand,
It's just not what they do.
That was just one, of the little 'lasts' we'd share,
The last time you read to me before bed,
The last time you'd do my hair.
I thought I'd grow out of needing you,
For a little while, I thought I had,
But it turns out I'll need you forever,
Simply becuase you're my dad.
