In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
A void that still keeps in my heart.
The overwhelming silence, only me and my thoughts.
Look at me, look what you made me become,
The whole neighborhood laughs at me,
My peers snicker at me,
The embarrassment you gave me, rests on my shoulders.
I long to be desired, not by other men but you!
I long for you to reciprocate the feeling, even if it's only kindness.
I long for your smile, an assurance of humanity in you, but,
In the end, it was just me and my thoughts!
