The TED Talk of a black sheep
Does it look like I'm afraid of scrapping it all?

I know that you hate me
I won't understand you
And you can't understand me
I've been used to the cold since a baby
My stubborn stare straight into the sun
Like a sunflower.

Does it look like I'm afraid of scrapping it all?

I don't even scream
I moan
If I am in pain
You don't have to know
I stay humble
With my foot out the door
I don't listen to other people's talk
I am busy on the dance floor
I already know you to the core
Gossip and all.

Does it look like I'm afraid of scrapping it all?

I lose things
And I contradict myself
Call me a black sheep
I painted me myself
I claim
When everyone had a brush but me
I don't even want to be a flower
Let alone the prettiest
I just want to be a deep-rooted tree.

Does it look like I'm afraid of scrapping it all?

I want the luxury of being free
Even a clown sheep
But remaining the one and only me
Totally and undoubtedly indie
Even though I'm not someone who's never had
Anything actually really bad happened to them
I act as if I am.

Am I actually afraid of scrapping it all?

Absolutely
Completely
Utterly
Throughly
Definitely
Certainly
Unconditionally
Unquestionably
Undoubtedly
Precisely
Manifestly
Beyond
Dead
NO.
