Lonely Lord of the Underworld: A Poem About Hades' Misunderstood Reign
Hades, lord of the underworld,
Often confused with Pluton, so oft told.
But the truth is, he stands alone,
A ruler of the dead, with none to condone.

Misunderstood and oft neglected,
His heart is heavy, with sorrow reflected.
For though he reigns over the realm of the dead,
Few understand the weight upon his head.

With Cerberus by his side, he guards the gate,
And watches as souls pass through, their fate
Determined by deeds done in life,
As they journey into the afterlife.

But Hades' own fate is often ignored,
His loneliness and sadness left unexplored.
For he is a god apart, with no peers,
And though he rules over death, he sheds silent tears.

So let us not forget Hades' plight,
As he presides over eternal night.
For though he may be feared and shunned,
His heart beats on, in the shadows, unspun.
