The Ramblings Of A Writer
Sometimes I write to let out frustration,
Sometimes I write in jubilation,
Whether the former, or whether the latter,
It seems like my feelings don't really matter,
But they matter to me,
I write to feel free,
And push out the feelings of misery.
Why can't people see?
I reach for the stars,
Whilst wearing my mask, I'm hiding my scars.
I use writing to express,
Every mess and success,
In a hope someone sees how I really feel,
Because my feelings are real,
But I sit here alone,
Casting my feelings out to the unknown.
Maybe I "feel too much",
My mind "out of touch",
Constantly living my life in the past,
But those memories last,
I can't flush them away,
So I write poetry to get through the day.
Here's the ramblings of a writer,
Who knows she's a fighter,
Who knows if she writes, her mind will feel lighter.
