All I ever do is burn
I burn and burn and burn
It hurts
I hurt everyone who touches me
Nothing survives being close to me
Everything withers in my presence


Most of the time I am an accident
Caused by the hands of a human
It gives me false hope
I think I'm finally being given a chance
That disappears soon enough
When i'm extinguished by a cloud of cool fog


I just want to be loved
I want to help people
Sometimes I try hugging those who need me
I reach out and tap their shoulder
And envelope them in my glowing warmth
But they always die cold in my arms


Everyday I pray
That someone will come up to me
Someone will touch me
And not burn
Someday maybe someone will trust me
Maybe I'll be more than just a cause of pain
