Faint Reflections on Death
With closed eyes, I experienced death,
A blurred reality, uncertain of breath.
Faint it was, yet the feeling ran deep,
Revealing the essence of eternal sleep.

Fortunate, I had but fainted,
Unlike expectations, the sensation painted.
Devoid of thoughts, memories, or dreams,
A void encompassing, nothing as it seems.

They speak of death, where flesh and soul part ways,
Yet in faintness, both slumber, in a silent daze.
Mortal and spirit rest, in a dreamless embrace,
Resting together, escaping life's paces.

Faintness often leads to an awakened state,
In contrast to death's everlasting fate.
Fainting's brief reprieve, a luxury so true,
Unlike death's depths, where life bids adieu.
