The Good Old Days.
Walking alone on the moonlit moors,
Pacing past the blades of grass,
Time finds me searching for my past,
Moments of joy, wonders and youthful sass,

I stop and stare at the moon,
Wondering why did it all end so soon,
When we could all be together by the next noon,
But that's when they hear me singing a silly tune,

Gone is the time when joy,
Found me surrounded by friends,
Being hooted at the cafe to annoy,
And pillow fighting and chasing for money became the trends,

Gone is the time when exams,
Would find a single boy awake,
Roaming in every room for bread and jams,
While many wept for they had a paper to take,

Gone is the time when the trees,
Watched toothpick legs in the grounds,
When our might would cease,
But the adrenaline knew no bounds,

Gone is the time when the road,
Listened to the cackles of a trio,
Future career & life was the topic for one horde,
While some had silly ones as who's star was Leo?

Now is the time when I,
Look back at the good old days,
Lay back, weep and sigh,
For all have gone as far as I can gaze...
