The colours of love waft a fragrance
Unbidden it envelopes your essence.
Drenching you in the elixir of life.
Gives a heady rush like mulled wine.

It always seems an arbor of paradise.
Shines like a million stars at night.
Lighting up the cockles of your heart.
A blazing bonfire warms you inside out.

The frozen quill starts to dance.
Time and space matters not.
Words pour out in torrents.
Verses of emotion adorns the canvas.

Storm or hail may try to batter.
The colours of love absorbs the tremors.
See that the cocoon never shatters.
The web of affection, a protective cover.
