That remained for you

a bad thing...
It's just the way things
have come to be...
The air around me is sweet
The sun no longer shines
for the "us" we were
She shines for me
I'm sorry...and no I don't care
if it hurt you to leave
But the reality is...
You never deserved me
I'm not mad enymore...
I've healed that bleed
I've patched the artery
It's about time I open the cage
And set that angry bird free
