Thinking about the difference between and a victim and a martyr.
Victims are bystanders while the others die for a purpose for a starter.

Martyrs' death is for a cause while victims are killed just because.
Victims are often forgotten yet martyrs give us pause.

Martyrs send a message hen ther is usually no other way.
With victims I become they.

In the end both are casualties of concern.
All deaths are senseless is the only lesson to be learned.
