Wings On an Unseen Breeze
~For Kip Winger~
He stalks this earth lightly
As he always has
Lightly
As if he's not 6 feet tall
You may have forgotten him
He is the quiet sort
While you've forgotten him,
He's been watching, listening
Observing
You and me and everything else
He sees more than you think
More than you care to know
But if you ask him,
It's all there in the morning glow
Further than you dared to go
He sings to me simply
As he always could
Simply
As if his words are feathers
You may never know him;
He lets the wind drift by
While you've overlooked him,
He's let me know about you
Your lifestyle, your character,
And what your silence says to me
He stalks this earth lightly
As he always has
Lightly
As if his footfall
Bears no weight at all
