Deafening Pain
Everyone hears but no one listens.
I ask for help but I get no help in return.
I cry but no one is there to wipe the tears away.
I don't know what to do.
I hope but I still feel hopeless.
I put a smile on my face but, still, I feel the weight of my heart,
pushing and beating its way
Through the day
Through the night.
My heart is tired.
Maybe I should give it a rest.
