Siren Song
You sit there wearing dandy bracelets and rings,
While I can hear how your soul beautifully sings
Though about the darkness of the ocean,
The ruthless force of the waves,
Your lines carry a sea of emotion
Deeper than the deepest of caves
And I listen, I listen from afar,
As if I were just a little kid
And you were a star

But you're a ghost, or are you a phantom?
You're alone, but also pluralia tantum
You're everything, a figment of my imagination
And the sea itself, never-ending;
You're as magnificent as a rose, or even carnation
I like the shivers you are sending
Down my spine as you sing,
My dearest,
My underling and my king

I'll wait for you at the end of this world
Where rising smoke once whirled
In the air, like the wasps that I despise,
And there with your voice, I hope
You'll either save me or bring my demise
I know, honey, it's a slippery-slope,
But it has to be you
And I'll wait
Until my blood turns blue

Won't you come to see how I fall apart?
Wouldn't you like to take a look inside my heart?
I want to hear you rhyme your words all the while
You watch me as I try to stay afloat
Your lips curled upwards in a smile
Would make me ignore what the sea wrote
On my forehead, with a frown:
"Rest assured I'll be with you"
Your melody would echo as I drown

You've chosen to end me
And, dear, I'm okay with that
