Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.
My illusions of you, once so grand,
Were shattered in a single moment,
It was like glass that was broken,
And the shards were left to lament.
You were a vision of beauty and grace,
A dream come alive in my head,
But all that was shattered in an instant,
When I saw what was beneath the facade.
Your lies and deceit uncovered,
Your true nature revealed and exposed,
It was a shock like no other,
My illusions of you were completely composed.
I thought I knew who you were,
But I was wrong, so wrong,
My illusions of you now broken,
My heart shattered, so forlorn.
