when the red buds burst from the top of sunny trees
and songbirds sing to awake all of the bees,
it is time to rejoice as spring is emerging
from long light at tunnels end of winters cold convergence.
soon the emerald sea of forest floor alight,
will carpet the runway for romantic frog nights.
the vernal pools will burgeon along their banks,
as they provide refuge to nature's awoken ranks.
