As the evening comes to a close,
You were thinking about what you want to do with the rest of your life,
The clock chimed and something unusual took place...

As I'm walking to the curtains
A shiver runs down my spine
pretty strange feeling
was the thought running through my
mind
abruptly was I disturbed
from my night routine
never could I have guessed
what was looking straight at me
Small flying heavenly creature
Never have I seen
A body like the weather
changing constantly
I gasped as it tried to move
It saw I was anxious and confused
Little did I know, I'd have nothing to
fear
It was looking for help from someone
near
There were bruises around It's feathers
as I took a closer look
A tear ran down It's face
No longer could It hide the pain
My fear quickly went away
I felt empathy, the need to help, instantly
Drowsy eyes looked questioning at me
I opened the window
speaking in sign language
telling the creature to come home
