Filtering rays of sunshine,
Brighten up my day,
My heart swells with hope and pride,
Keen for the glories coming my way...
In the shadows I no longer hide,
My eyes opened wide taking in this marvelous morning.
I no longer walk with my head hanging down,
I'll take life with my chin up, happy days I've been longing.
Never again will you see me with a frown,
I, instead, will count my blessings.
My eyes shine bright, illuminating my way,
There's no regretting my yesterdays, they are of the past.
Tomorrow isn't promised so we all need to live for today,
Making the most of life, before it passes by too fast.
Life is too short not to love it and in the end I don't want to have remorse for my ways.
Love yourself and don't let anyone tell you different,
You are worth it!
