Silence
Staring at the clear blue sky
Waiting for a sign that a creature will soon fly
The clouds gather and soon the darkness takes over
In my mind, it forms a nothingness of black matter

Tiny bright objects appear in the sky, firstly one, then a couple of others join
Giving me hope of a night that will blow up my mind
At least, my heart skips with an 'Aye! '

I hear the breeze whisper past my ears
Reminds me of the reason why I'm here
Once again in my life
I am faced with this sudden news gone rife

At this point, I desire the quiet noise of SILENCE
It is a word, yet not spoken
Cannot be dropped, yet falls
It is the presence of absence
Absence from the presence of nothingness

The power of Silence...
Burden to some hearts, yet calms some nerves
Has the power to kill, and yet it heals
For this reason, I sit beneath the brightness of the night

I have come to listen to what silence has to say
'Is it your wish that I go, or should I stay? '
I sit still to listen to the voice of silence
In the midst of all these
Flesh torn piece by piece
I am in dire need of your peace

Dear Silence, be my companion for the years ahead of me.
