Someday

I have a prayer I say to God
That when He's finished with me here
Will you take me up to Heaven
And join me with those that I hold dear?

I have others there waiting for me
To reunite with me at last
To begin an Eternal life there with them
And leave this Earthly one here in the past!

Sometimes the anticipation just overwhelms me
Knowing that I'll surely see them again
Peace and happiness in my soul
But waiting patiently is where I've been!

A new dwelling place is what I crave
But not until I have done Gods will
He will be with me through it all
No matter how I feel!

So many hurting people
And not much time to bring them around
I long to make a difference
Help them with their pain by which they are bound!

I know that we all look forward to our Heavenly home
Because the Lord and our loved ones are there
We'll be mesmerized by this new dwelling place
They'll be peace and love everywhere!
