buzzing besties
A Poem Shared with Michael

Two tiny friends with wings so bright,
Buzzing through the day and into the night.
What are they called, as they dodge and dive?

Bikyu and Kelmei—two flies, alive!

Two flies buzzed in a cluttered room,
Two flies buzzed, escaping their doom,
"We need our screens, there’s no more gloom!"

Bikyu said, "Our gaming zone’s not far!"
Kelmei replied, "But can we dodge the jar?"
They zoomed off, like avatars in a star.

Through the cracks, wings in sync,
They zipped past crumbs without a blink,
Dodging swats—gaming’s on the brink!

"Watch out for that wire!" Bikyu cried,
Kelmei spun fast, with wings spread wide,
They laughed, "This digital world is our pride!"

At last, the console came in sight,
Glowing pixels, their pure delight!
"Home sweet home, we did it right!"

They landed on their gaming chair,
Smiling wide without a care.
"Who knew adventure led us there?"

But as they buzzed to start the game,
The Wi-Fi crashed—oh, what a shame!
Kelmei sighed, "Guess it’s back to real fly fame!"

Flapping and flitting, they dance through the glade,
Their journey fraught with mysteries laid.
With every leaf twirl and every pine sway,
They're reminded of games they'll soon play.

"Which way, dear friend?" asks the fly with the stripe,
"The path less taken,...
