ALONE WITH YOU
I like the me when I'm alone
Where the air seems fresher
And the sky brighter
Where the calm before the storm pauses in phase
My thoughts float with the clouds to paradise
Birthing a smile need not accounted for
Hidden from eyes that will call me crazy
The me that is not shackled to expectations
That complement my mask of steel
Wearing my face to shreds
That emits the light suppressed from inward
Hidden from conniving eyes seeking to posses
As I glow my peculiar shade in the dark
I may be a fool to hope this feeling will last forever
But I wouldn't have to hope so hopelessly
If I could be alone with you.
