Blue
Once again, I'm feeling blue
With so many things I wish to do
But time is running and it's getting late
And choices dwindle in a crazy rate

Yellow summer pulls orange fall
Changing seasons I can't control
Fruitless pink spring has no clue
That winter scent colors me blue

I climb until my legs give out
No more time prancing about
Gravity keeps pulling me under
Into the deep blue empty darkness

Will I surface soaking wet?
Will I be swallowed if I stay there?
Will this color stain my skin
All over 'til I am concealed?

In this wet wide blue, I float
This cold dye is my only coat
Facing the sky as blue as I
Reminds me of a cold flame's light

I dream to be a warmer hue
As blue flame burns, it rises too
To reach for that unchanging blue
That paints the sky's eternal hue.
