A mountain rises before you with peaks of white,
Hiding what waits beyond from everyone's sight.
Although it seems insurmountable and imposing,
still you must try to pass and answer your calling
Maybe to be a paradise where happiness is found,
where everything you might desire does abound.
Though maybe the opposite lies in dire consequence,
which makes the journey not making any sense.
Simply a lesson learned as part of being alive,
which adds to your ability helping you survive,
As obstacles are encountered on a daily basis,
even upon passing strangers with smiling faces.
Unable to distinguish between sincerity or disguise,
while often times words spoken are mostly lies.
Determining who to trust you must learn instinct,
which develops through experience being distinct.
