It's dawn once more,

Have a nice day you seem to say,

Even the cinammon branches sound cheerful,

A family has pitched camp there,

Rummaging through every branch.

Yesterday's trials are today's triumph,

Our victory is a mountain climbed,

United for the goals we achieve,

It takes one person to change everything.

Negativism only breeds hatred.

True leadership entails humility,

Hopefully we can learn it soon,

Every star earned is a scar forgotten,

Take time in life to ponder your thoughts,

Reflect on whether you want respect,

Every negative word we utter,

Every typed abuse on social media.


Says a whole lot about who we are.

It may generate likes but is it worth it at all.
