New Year Blue
The New Year has come, the old one has passed
But with it, the same old problems have come back at last
The bickering and fighting, the endless despair
I just want to escape, to go somewhere
The walls of this house feel like they're closing in
Trapped with my family, I can't win
I long for a place where I can be free
From all the drama and misery
But alas, I'm stuck here, no way to flee
So I'll just sit and suffer, in my New Year blue
Wishing for the day when I can break free
From all the negativity and just be me.
