A Dollar Short
I’m a dollar short
In circles i run as visions distort
Watching others fall seamlessly into the davenport
Of lies and manipulation
My heart seeds frustration
For people so hurt in such a strong nation
And people who dare to break it with faces of abhorred sedation
I’m a dollar short but they have wealth uncompared
I scream for the deaths i met unprepared
That wealth they have like no other,
Makes me wail for my sisters and my brothers
Ones i never met,
Dead before the blowing of a cigarette
So tell me how do you kill with such ease as this?
Sleeping with no conscience and simple bliss?
